1. Gears for traveling

  • 50 liters rucksack
  • A day pack that will allow you to move around easily.
  • The camera is a must, it should be at least 8 GB.
  • If you plan to walk then a water bottle of 1 liter is a must-have.
  • In case it rains, a rain cover should be there with you to protect your backpack.

2. Clothing

  • If you are traveling during May, June, July, August, September, October, then carry two or three cotton t-shirts or shirts with you.
  • Try to avoid carrying jeans with you rather carry cargo pants as they have multiple pockets and are easily dried. Also, carry one-half pants and one long pant.
  • If one is traveling during the months of winters that are November, December, January, and February then carry winter clothes such as jackets, woolen caps, shawls, woolen socks, and woolen gloves. Warm pants or slacks.
  • A sweatshirt is a must-have during the winter season.
  • Carry three pairs of undergarments and three pairs of woolen socks.
  • Ultraviolet radiation glasses are a must to have and carry with you for the trip.
  • Cap is very necessary during the summer season.
  • Carry a thin towel. As it will not take up much space in your backpack.
  • A pair of shoes that you are most comfortable to walk in and can trek.
  • A pair of slippers is essential.
  • If traveling during the monsoon season, then carry an umbrella and raincoat with you.

3. Personal Stuff

  • Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, and shampoo are the personal essentials that one must carry to take care of their hygiene.
  • Toilet tissue paper roll is needed.
  • Paper soap, sanitizer should be included in your packing.
  • A sunscreen with 40 SPF is recommended to carry along with you during Summers and moisturizer during winters.
  • Take your fragrances with you but keep the fancy glass bottles at home as they might break during the travel.
  • Mosquito repellent cream.
  • Carrying two lightweight bed sheets is optional.
  • For girls, it’s necessary to carry the hygiene spray to use in public toilets.

4. Accessories To Carry

  • Carry a charge bank with you to charge your gadgets as most lodging and boarding places are provided with only a single plug point.
  • Lights tend to go. Therefore, carry a LED torch with you and it will also be helpful if you are staying in a camp.
  • Carry garbage bags to keep all your used traveling clothes as the days pass by. Also to stuff in all the plastic and wrappers in those garbage bags while traveling as it will keep the environment clean.
  • Carry a small sharp knife with you for your safety while traveling.

5. Mini Medical Kit

  • The medical kit should have the following:
  • Glucose powder
  • Carry tablets for headaches, diarrhea, and motion sickness.
  • Pack of bandage
  • A cotton packet
  • Aspirin tablet
  • Cream for rashes
  • Sprain relief plasters
  • Personal medicines that you need to take daily are prescribed by the doctor.
