Beatles Ashram, previously known as Chaurasi Kutia, gained its fame after the popular Beatles Band of Liverpool came to reside there in 1968. The band members stayed and practiced meditation in this quaint Ashram and also composed several great songs there. The band visited Ashram to attend a special meditation program conducted by Saint Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. After they left, the Ashram became abandoned and reopened for the visitors in the year 2015. Since then, the ashram has been visited by many local and foreign travelers. Most of the travelers are huge fans of Beatles band.

History of Beatles Ashram

The Ashram was established by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who taught Transcendental Meditation to the individuals who were interested in learning the skill as a career option. The Ashram was operative before the Beatles Band arrived. They stayed there for three months and took the TM course. The site was again opened for tourists after it was officially declared as a tourist hub in December 2015.
